Privacy Policy
Povtori is operated by an independent individual based in Georgia.
Data we process
We process account and authentication data, such as your account identifier, email address, and profile name, when available, to identify your Povtori account and keep it secure.
To provide the learning service, we store your language pair, phrases, lessons, answers, and progress.
We also process subscription identifiers and status, support messages you choose to send, and limited operational data such as request time, network address, route, response status, and diagnostic identifiers for security, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
Billing data
Dodo Payments acts as merchant of record and handles checkout, billing details, taxes, receipts, subscription management, refunds, and payment processing. Povtori receives only the payment identifiers and subscription status needed to grant and manage access; Povtori does not receive or store full payment-card details.
How we use data
We use this information to authenticate users, operate Povtori, preserve learning history, manage access and subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain service security. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising.
Recipients
We disclose only the data needed for each service: Auth0 receives account and authentication data to provide sign-in; Cloudflare processes account, learning, subscription, and operational data to host and secure Povtori; OpenAI and ChatGPT receive the plugin inputs you direct them to send and the corresponding Povtori results; Dodo Payments receives and processes billing and transaction data as merchant of record; and our email provider processes support messages.
We may also disclose relevant data to professional advisers, courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Each provider may retain data it controls under its own privacy policy and legal obligations.
Retention
Account profile and learning data are retained while your account exists. Learning data is retained after paid access ends so that learning history is available if access is restored. We retain this data until you request account-data deletion.
After a verified deletion request, we normally delete account profile and learning data from active Povtori systems within 30 days. Limited copies may remain longer where required by law or needed to investigate abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect legal rights.
Povtori operational logs are retained for no more than 7 days. Support messages are retained while we handle the request and for up to 12 months after it is resolved. Povtori may retain payment identifiers and subscription records for the subscription term and for up to 7 years afterward where needed for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, chargeback, dispute, or other legal obligations. Dodo Payments controls retention of the checkout and payment records it holds.
Your choices
You may request access or deletion of your Povtori data, request correction, or ask a privacy question by contacting the email below. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account. You can delete individual saved phrases through Povtori. You can also disconnect Povtori from OpenAI or ChatGPT and cancel a paid subscription through the Dodo Payments customer portal.
